Online Privacy
At Car Part Connection and Autobahn Performance, we are committed
to ensuring your privacy as a customer. You can be confident
that we will not sell or exchange our customer's names or
other information with third parties.
Cookies
A cookie is a small piece of data that is automatically placed
on your computer's hard drive. Browsers are designed so that
we cannot look at other sites' cookies and they cannot look
at ours. If you configure your browser so that is will not
accept cookies, you can still place orders online at Car Part
Connection, but we cannot "remember" the year, make
and model of your car.
Email Promotions
When you register to have us "remember" your car,
you are asked if you want us to provide email updates on specials,
contests or events. If the box is checked when you submit,
you will receive these promotions when they are implemented.
If the box is unchecked, you will not receive email correspondence
from us.
Security
Encryption
Car Part Connection uses the latest 128-bit SSL (Secure Sockets
Layer) technology to encrypt all transactions that require
personal information. The industry standard for security,
SSL scrambles user data, including names, credit card numbers,
and addresses, so that the information cannot be read as it
travels over the Internet. This protection means it will actually
be safer for you to use your credit card over the Internet
rather than using it in a store where your card number appears
on multiple hard copies and receipts. You can check the security
of your Internet session by looking at the bottom of your
browser; if a "locked" padlock icon appears, you
are on a secure page; if the padlock icon is "unlocked,"
you are not on a secure page.
Credit Card Use
We guarantee that every transaction you make with Car Part
Connection.com is safe. Under the Fair Credit Billing Act,
your bank cannot hold you liable for more than fifty dollars
of fraudulent charges on your credit card. If, through no
fault of your own, any unauthorized charges are made to your
card as a result of placing an order using our secure server
and your bank should hold you liable for any of this fifty
dollars, Car Part Connection.com will cover the entire liability
for you, up to the full fifty dollars. Please be sure to notify
your credit card provider in the event of unauthorized use
of your credit card.
Payment
Payment Methods
Car Part Connection accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express,
and Discover credit cards. Debit cards issued by Visa or MasterCard
are also accepted. We do not accept CODs, cash, personal/bank
checks or money orders.
Charges to Credit Card
Car Part Connection will secure authorization for your purchase
immediately after you submit your credit card information.
If the credit card issuer accepts the charge, a Thank You
screen will appear from which you can print a detailed copy
of your order including shipping and handling charges, and
taxes (if applicable). If the credit card issuer declines
your purchase, a screen will appear asking you to verify your
information and resubmit. Your credit card will not be charged
until your order is shipped.
Email confirmation
You will also receive order confirmation via email within
four hours. If you do not receive confirmation within four
hours of placing your order, please feel free to contact us
to ensure that your order is being processed.
Returns
Part Returns
Within 30 days of receipt of your order, you may return any
item, other than fuel injection and electrical items, in its
original packaging and condition. The item cannot be disassembled
or damaged by incorrect installation. Electrical and fuel
injection items cannot be returned. Custom ordered items cannot
be returned. Car Part Connection and Autobahn Performance
is not responsible for installation errors. Product credits
will be applied to your credit card within five to seven business
days after receipt of your part in our warehouse. To return
a part, you must apply for a Return Materials Authorization
(RMA) Number below. Please be aware that we cannot process
returns for items not purchased at Car Part Connection. The
returned parts must be shipped prepaid, via UPS. We cannot
refund shipping costs unless the return is a result of a shipping
error or a part defect. No refunds will be given for any reason
after thirty (30) days from receipt of your order.
Core Returns
Some products sold by Car Part Connection and Autobahn Performance
have core charges included in the purchase price. This charge
is refunded when we receive your original part in rebuildable
condition. Upon receipt of the item you have ordered, place
the original part in the box that came with your order and
write the Return Materials Authorization Number (RMA) on the
outside of the box. You can apply for a Return Materials Authorization
(RMA) Number below. All cores must be shipped prepaid, via
UPS. When the original part is delivered to our warehouse
in rebuildable condition, the core charge will be credited
to your account within five to seven business days.
Return Procedure
A Return Material Authorization (RMA) Number must be obtained
prior to shipping a return. All returns received without an
RMA number on the outside of the box will be refused. Follow
the steps below to return products: 1. Apply for an RMA Number
2. Package the part in its original packaging 3. Please remember
to write your Return Authorization Number on the outside of
the package. Otherwise, we cannot accept your package 4. Enclose
the original packing slip in the box and wrap the package
securely.
Warranty
All merchandise is warranted to be free from defects in material
and workmanship for a period of 6 months from the date of
purchase. Any item which fails during that period will be
replaced without charge. THIS WARRANTY IS MADE IN LIEU OF
ALL OTHER WARRANTIES. Car Part Connection and Autobahn Performance
EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ANY OTHER WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT
LIMITATION, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS
FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NONINFRINGEMENT. OUR LIABILITY
IS LIMITED TO REPLACEMENT OF THE PART ONLY AND DOES NOT INCLUDE
LABOR OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGE CLAIMS. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW
THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR LIABILITY
FOR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY
