Merchandise Returns
Car Part Connection will accept authorized returns on saleable
merchandise purchased from us in the last 30 days. Freight
charges are non-refundable unless directly related to an error
on Car Part Connection or behalf.
The following merchandise is not acceptable
for return:
- Any electrical parts
- Items damaged due to misuse, abuse, fire, or weather.
- Items installed on vehicle, unless directly related to
an Car Part Connection error.
- Items not authorized on the original RMA.
- Items purchased more than 30 days previous.
- Items that have been special ordered (this includes used
parts from 3rd party vendors)
- Items returned without original packaging.
- Fuel distributors and control units, disassembled or
tampered with.
Car Part Connection reserves the right to charge up to a
20% re-stocking fee on parts returned.
Core Returns
You will notice that some items have an associated core charge.
Many automotive parts have materials in them that can be used
for remanufactured parts. To encourage the return of the original
part the manufacturer issues a core charge that is included
in the selling price. If all the core return criteria is met
the core charge will be credited back to the customer. You
must request an (RMA) Request Materials Authorization number
first to return a core.
- All cores must have been purchased from Car Part Connection
within the last 30 days.
- All cores must be returned in the original carton.
- All returning cores must be cleaned and all fluids must
be drained.
- Cores must be complete, assembled, and able to be rebuilt.
Cores missing parts, broken housing, and damage by abuse,
fire, water or weather will not be accepted.
- Critical core items (i.e. Cylinder heads, turbo chargers)
may require manufacturer acceptance prior to credit being
issued.
Return Requests
If you have a core or part that you would like to return
for credit, a Return Materials Authorization (RMA) Number
is required. To apply for an RMA Number, enter the order number
that contains the products you would like to return and the
email address to which you would like the RMA Number sent.
You will be emailed with a Return Authorization Number and
instructions on how to proceed with your return within 3-4
business days. You may return products within 21 days of shipment
for a refund or replacement. Once we receive your return it
may take up 30 days for your credit to show up on your statement.
